Live In Nannies
A Live in Nanny provides families with real flexibility and a more affordable option than live out Nannies. Live in nannies can care for all ages from newborn to school aged, and are available for full time hours and can also assist with babysitting and holiday care.
A Dream Nannies Live in Nanny will have previous Nanny / childcare experience & often have childcare qualifications. They may be starting out their nannying career or already be a successful nanny. Live in candidates are usually younger and have an interest/qualifications in Early Education/Teaching and are looking to further their childcare experience.
Live-in Nannies provide families with flexible help, so ideal for families working long or irregular hours. Live-in Nannies will become like another member of your household who can also help out with light housework duties outside of “working “hours. This is also a much more affordable option as board costs for accommodation, meals etc can be deducted from pay.
Live Out Nannies
A live out Nanny is the preferred option for families who can’t accommodate a live in Nanny and require professional and sole charge childcare. Nanny candidates will normally live locally and can be available for long hours to accommodate families that work full time or on a part time basis. Nannies are available for long term, permanent roles or temp, many nannies work with families for many years and enjoy a long lasting relationship with the family.
Nannies have a range of different backgrounds and qualifications, and be specialised in areas such as Maternity, Multiple Births, Languages, Travel Nannies, Housekeeper Nannies. Our candidates are selected based on matching experience level to your requirements, excellent references, personalities and values.
Mothers Helps / Junior Nanny
A Mothers Help/Junior Nanny is great for mums who are at home caring for newborns or are looking for reduced hours and a lower cost option. Mother’s Helps / Junior Nannies are usually younger, with some great practical experience who love children but haven’t been formally trained or following a career in childcare. This is an affordable option for families who don’t need a formally trained nanny for sole charge help.
All our Mother’s Helps have completed On-Line Nanny Training which includes First Aid.
Nanny Costs
Nanny salary varies according the nannies experience, the role, hours and location. London rates are higher, and the hourly rate for part time is sually slightly higher than full time. Au Pairs are from overseas aged between 18-30 and is a great option for busy families needing an extra pair of hands and looking to host a young person from overseas. Au Pairs live as part of your family and is considered a cultural exchange. In exchange for weekly pocket money, room and board, they can offer some of their time to assist with light housework and predominantly childcare duties within the host family home.
Au Pairs are fairly young and inexperienced and are not professional child carers, and should not be regarded as such. Most Au Pairs come to the UK as part of a “Gap Year” Experience and to improve their English, and they are treated and regarded as part of the family
